Construction begins on the Mitchell family home.

WO Habitat is so excited to begin construction for the Mitchell family.  After a brief delay due to the re-organization of our new warehouse space, we are able to begin doing what we do best - building simple, decent homes.  The Mitchell home (#20) is sponsored by West Orange Habitat for Humanity and St. Luke's Methodist Church.  The construction process started on Saturday, March 4, 2006, as our regular workforce members began with the pre-site building of the walls.  Every Wednesday and Saturday, groups of volunteers will gather together to "make this house a home".  We have the 'highly skilled', 'somewhat skilled', 'not so skilled', and the 'know nothing but willing to help' level of volunteers sharing and having a good time.  If you fall into any of these categories and would like to join us, please go to our Contact Us page.

After a number of delays, due to permitting issues, the site for the Mitchell house was changed and we are now under way with construction.
